Evolution and Similar Characteristics. The Miller Experiment: A Common Textbook Lie.
Evolution and Similar Characteristics:
According to evolutionists, similar characteristics indicate a common ancestor. Time and time again we keep hearing that dinosaurs evolved into birds as scientists try and point out the nesting habits of certain dinosaurs. Apparently, if dinosaurs nested, they must be related to birds. Isn’t that good scientific logic? Science and logic are two different things, never mind the fact that the above example is neither scientific nor logical. Indeed we find many similarities among animals. Frogs, bears, lions, dogs and cats all have four legs. Giraffes, cows, horses and deer all have hair and noses. A chicken, duck, and even the platypus of Australia have beaks but are they related? Absolutely not! Fords, Chevys and Nissans are all cars with wheels, windows and doors but they are not related. They are simply different cars from different designers with the same purpose. The reason all of them have four wheels is because the law of physics shows that a car will run much better that way. Cars are made the way they are because they all fall under the same universal laws. The above cars could be compared to the different kinds of animals God created. Though there are many types of birds they are all birds that are made from a common Designer. This Designer made them to function under the universal laws He created. Evolutionists are not scientists! They are more like philosophers who imagine what they want to believe in. You have heard the phrase, “I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it.” Well, evolutionists wouldn’t see it if they didn’t believe it. Remember, if you learn everything you can about one side of an issue you have been indoctrinated. Learn everything on both sides of an issue and you are educated. Evolutionists look at these similarities from a one-sided perspective. For example, Carl Sagan, a prominent evolutionary astronomer wrote in his book, Intelligent Life in the Universe: “The inner workings of terrestrial organisms—from microbes to man – are so similar in their biochemical details as to make it highly likely that all organisms on the earth have evolved from a single instance of the origin of life.” (p.183).On the contrary, Mr. Sagan, similarities indicate a common design, not evolution. If a man’s chemical composition was not similar to that of a plant or animal the only thing we could eat would be one another. But God created us to breathe the same air and drink the same water so that we could live together under the same scientific laws on the same earth.Another problem is that it is only the similarities that evolutionists point out, clearly because of their agenda in brainwashing society with evolutionary propaganda. Dr. Enoch in his book, Evolution or Creation, shows how when the cytoplasm of cells is put into a centrifuge little jelly type pellets are formed. In these pellets the chemical formula for the cells of different species are all different. This is, of course, never mentioned in evolutionary textbooks because it shows dissimilarity. The specific gravity of human blood indicates man is closer to a frog and a snake than a monkey, but again, most people don’t know this because it goes against the philosophy of evolution. Had the test results shown the gravity of blood to be close to an ape this would be on the front page of the newspaper. According to milk glands we are closest to the donkey, not an ape. Our eye is closest to the octopus and our heart is closest to the pig. When was the last time you heard of an ape to human heart transplant? According to cytochrome C tests, we are closest to the sunflower but nobody is saying we are related to the grass.Can you see the problem? This one- sided thinking of evolutionists is a dead end philosophy. EVERYTHING is pointing to a Designer. This is one reason why so many people (even atheists) are believing in Intelligent Design. Sure, many do not accept this intelligent being to be the one and true God, but, it does show that the evidence is pointing away from the childish fairy tales of evolution. As a Christian who has been left with the Bible as validated evidence of Creation and the origin of life I know my Creator is my Redeemer, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Living Lord and Judge of the universe. He created me among many other things with similar characteristics because He made the world under the same laws of science (of which He too, created).
A COMMON TEXTBOOK LIE Stanley Miller has done an experiment to try to create a single amino acid. The building blocks of life are amino acids, sugars, and bases. The amino acids form the protein, which assists towards life. Similarly, DNA needs bases and sugars for its existence. The experiment constitutes only an amino acid, a substance distant from the necessary components of life. The results of this experiment have been put in textbooks all over the world, despite the fact that it was a flop (though students aren't told that). One high school textbook states, "The idea that an organic soup could originate from a primitive atmosphere was tested in the laboratory by Stanley Miller in 1953. This demonstrated that complex organic molecules could have been produced by inorganic ones.” These "complex organic molecules" talked about are amino acids, which really are not all that complex, plus the acids produced in this experiment were the wrong type (which the textbooks don't mention). The very next page of this same textbook states, "These primitive cells could have flourished," giving the impression that Miller had created an actual cell, but an amino acid is far from any type of cell. In this experiment, Dr. Miller used methane, ammonia, water vapor and hydrogen because he said these were the initial elements in the first atmosphere billions of years ago. How did he know? Because these were the gases that he thought were needed for life; therefore, he had a prior answer to his question before he started, to ensure success - mere circular reasoning. Sometimes creationists are accused of using the Bible as the starting point for everything. That is where we base our assumptions; however, evolutionists base their assumptions on the fact that evolution has occurred. What a difference! The Miller experiment (despite the fact we must admit eternal God or eternal matter) assumes that the materials suggested existed, but how were they preserved when ultraviolet rays from the sun destroy methane and kill any living organism? The only reason we can live today is that the 21% of oxygen in the atmosphere and ozone protect us from the UV rays. Why doesn't Dr. Miller propose oxygen in his primitive ozone? Because oxygen stops the chemical reactions needed to form the bases, amino acids and sugars. Furthermore, all the above mentioned chemicals would be burned up because of the oxygen. In other words, you need oxygen to create your product but once it exists, the oxygen destroys the thing it creates. Knowing this, Dr. Miller chose not to use oxygen in his experiment, something Carl Sagan even admits is a big problem. One reason that oxygen cannot be objectively left out is because scientists have found it in rocks which, according to evolutionary theory, have been dated over 3.4 billion years old, suggesting oxygen was always in the atmosphere. This being the case, the oxygen would never allow amino acids to form, hence life could not form. But letting Miller have this "minor" detail, he then went on to conduct his experiment by heating up the hydrogen, water vapor, ammonia, and methane in a flask. As the materials were heated, they rose through a tube into an electrical chamber (to simulate lightning). From here the gases went on to be cooled and the end product was trapped in a separate chamber, while the rest of the materials kept circulating through the entire process again. The important thing to remember here is that the end product was not allowed to get back to its original flask. Why? Because if it did, the heat source there would kill the product. Like the oxygen, heat is needed to form the product but it also destroys it.Furthering the problem of amino acids is that they come identified as left handed and right handed. In order to produce life, 100% of them must be left handed, but in nature there is a 50% mixture of left and right handed amino acids. Natural evolution cannot produce the needed 100% left handed amino acids. Putting this in perspective: the chance of getting struck by lightning is 1 in 600,000; the chance of winning the lottery is 1 in 30 million; the chance of getting 400 amino acids all left handed in a sequence is 1 in 1078000 , which is far beyond even mathematical impossibilities. Also, the chances of getting ONE ecoli bacteria (in the intestinal track to aid in digestion) would be 1 in 10 hundred billion. According to astrophysicists the number of atoms it would take to FILL the entire universe would only be 1080. This gives you some idea of the ridiculous numbers involved in forming one amino acid or cell. Even if this could be done, still no life exists; therefore, any logical person should be able to realize that the Law of Biogenesis is that life cannot come from non-life. Dr. Stephen Meyer of Cambridge University has stated in an article Mere Creation: Science Faith and Intelligent Design: “Thanks largely to Miller’s experimental work, chemical evolution is now routinely presented in both high school and college biology textbooks as the accepted scientific explanation for the origin of life. Yet chemical evolutionary theory is now known to be riddled with difficulties, and Miller’s work is understood by the origin of life research community itself to have little if any relevance to explaining how amino acids, let alone proteins or living cells, could have arisen on the early earth.” (1998, p 118 emphasis mine).God alone can create life! If this is not true, and life can be formed by chemicals in a laboratory, then God lied, because Genesis 2:7 clearly tells us, “the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” As a creationist, I know God can be trusted and He never lies. Jesus alone is my Redeemer and Giver of Life: "For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world" (John 6:33).
